PHOTOS: Aly & AJ's A Touch Of The Beat Tour at Bogart's

Rebecca Potzner

Following their 2021 album release, Aly and Aj are bringing the magic of “A Touch of The Beat..” on tour along with The Brummies. The entire tour package is aesthetically pleasing, full of energy, and undoubtedly captivating. Kicking off the night in all blue jumpsuits, The Brummies took us on a ‘Fever Dream’ with grooving guitars and a little horn action.

As Aly and AJ took the stage, the lights were dimmed but the crowd lit up. Taking us through a journey of new songs from the album, to a few throwbacks, and even a Tegan and Sara cover, the crowd was singing and dancing to every word. And, of course, they capped off the night with “Potential Breakup Song”. Yes, curse words and all. A perfect ending to an electric night of live music.

PHOTOS + REVIEW: Alec Benjamin with Sara Kays in Las Vegas

Aniya Washington

Do you know where we are headed to?

To the House of Blues to see Alec Benjamin and Sara Kays perform while on tour. While heading to the venue, a long line formed with fans waiting to see Sara and Alec. Doors didn’t open up until 7:30 but that didn't stop them from lining up and buying merch. Time passed, now the doors are opening, and fans are headed inside.

Are you ready to head inside with me? Let's go!

Before Sara Kays came out on stage, all you heard was fans from all around the venue chanting her name ready for her to come out and give it her all. FINALLY, she’s there on stage, fans are going crazy telling her that they love her and that she's pretty. Sara sang “Remember That Night? , “Smaller Than This , “Chosen Last”  and her unreleased song "Math". She shared with the crowd that it was her first time singing the unreleased song since tour started and that she won’t be singing it again until it is out. So, yes, you can say we’re special. Did I also mention that she did a cover of “The Climb?” Hello nostalgic vibes! Before she walked off stage she asked if everybody was ready for Alec and the entire crowd started chanting, “Alec! Alec!”

FINALLY, who we all been waiting for Alec Benjamin, everybody!! As usual, the crowd continued screaming for Alec until he walked onto stage bringing the atmosphere to life singing “Older,”Dopamine Addict,” and “Shadow Of Minefrom his Album (UN)COMMENTARY on Spotify. The crowd was sang along and chanted the lyrics of every song. Alec’s setlist featured songs from his albums These Two Windows and Narrated For You. While singing to the crowd, his light patterns shined to the rhythm of his music, creating an ethereal atmosphere. He was amazing! The night was all his and he knew it. The night ended with “Annabelle's Homework” , “Let Me Down” and “Speakers.” After the show ended, fans once again lined up for Sara and Alec merch.

If you didn’t attend the show in Vegas, it’s too bad. No I’m just kidding! They have 16 more shows to go. Check out the upcoming tour dates and a full photo gallery below.
